IDK If it's an alligator or not but, if it's still there, there's a place on NASA1 called Floppy Pets that just got a gar in, in it's recent shipments.

At some point, GHAC will be (hopefully) scheduling a brackish water collection trip in Freeport, TX. I have seen small Spotted Gar in the estuaries there in the past. Feel free to join us when the trip happens, or if I catch one, I'll let you know. The can easily be acclimated from brackish to freshwater . Just keep in mind these are Spotted Gar. True Alligator Gar get too huge for home captivity.
