  • WTB a cheap koi or two

My dad's koi passed away recently. I would like to get him a replacement or two for Father's Day but I'm on a budget and not looking for show koi. Doesn't even have to be fancy just healthy. Smaller would be better since his pond is just 90 gallons. I'm hoping for $10 each or less. LMK what ya got!
    135 gal Fahaka Puffer
150 gal Threadfin Acaras, Angels, Red Spotted Severum, Gold Severum, and a Silver Dollar
185 gal Demasoni, Yellow Labs, Venustus, Rustys, Plecos, Clown Loaches, and Sharks

Nelson's Water Gardens have fair priced small healthy koi.
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

My friend has plenty, ranging from 4-6inches, if you're interested.
Currently fishless, but a proud mama to a musk turtle hatchling.

Unfortunately, all Koi grow to about 24". You should have no more than 1" of fish per 10 gallons of water. If you go to Nelson Water Gardens in Katy, they can help you find the right kind of fish for your pond.

Try some Shubunkins. ~ Goldfish ~

Fish Gallery usually has some but I'll bet Nelson's has them.

I always get some .10 cent feeder goldfish and grow them into some very nice comets. In 1 1/2 yrs they are 5-6 inches. They might not make a good gift though.
