I just moved from a house into an apartment and the first thing I did was set up my 55. It's been a week and I've decided the tank just takes up too much room and inhibits how I can arrange/re-arrange my living room. So, it's with a sad heart I've decided the tank, fish, etc. need to be sold.
What I have is:
55 gallon tank with broken center brace which I have temporarily fixed and can get a whole new top 'edge' for $10 plus $8 shipping.
Lots of nice Holey Rock and numerous artifical plants. I also have a BIG box of driftwood.
Sale includes two large filters, air pump, heater and nearly new crushed sea shell bottom decor.
Homemade wooden stand stained a medium dark oak. Has storage compartment underneath. Not bad for an old woman with a new hammer!
Also have a box or two full of accessories too many to remember or list but all useable.
I have 7 fish in the tank: 4 Tropheus Dubosis (2 males and 2 females, I think), 3 Demasoni Cichlids (1 pair and 1 offspring), 1 Trinidad Pleco (about 4-5") and one other bottom dweller (4-5") I have no clue. Everyone is active and healthy.
If I try to remember what I paid for everything (most was brand new 2 years or less), everything I'm offering cost me a bit over $500. Maybe $600 if you add the sinkable driftwood and Holey Rock...neither is cheap. I would like someone to come and take EVERYTHING (including a whole box of brand new filter pads and maybe some things I've even forgotten I have) for $175 CASH. I was going to ask $200 but deducted the cost of the new trim piece for the 55 on the high side.
No, I do not have any current pictures because lots of things are still in boxes here and I have no clue where my camera is at the moment but I guarantee you for what I have and for what I'm asking, THIS IS A STEAL!
I reside now just a couple west of Lake Conroe off 105 W. I'm about 30 minutes north of Magnolia and 20 minutes south of Willis....just to give you an approximate of where I am.
