Hey bud, 1-3 will not work. It will result in 1 live male and 3 dead females in a week or 2 everytime. You have to buy a group of 15 minimum. even thats not the best way. Loose a couple and you start to have colony collapse. I like 25 fish for a good group. We know this from experiance. Just trying to help. Get some of these simos from me. You will have to grow them out. You can do a smaller group with them. Maybe 8-9. What size tank are you putting them in?

ya i was thinking about that yesterday and i thought to my self this isnt going to work cuz of the colony i have 8 red lavua fry right now. ill probley just build me a colony with the fry.

Are you trying to get some breeding going on, I mean if you are 1 and 3 won't do it unless you already have other Trophs in there, fshfrk is right! I have 1 Male and 8 female Cherry Spots along with some Petros and that male does a really good job, however it did take awhile intill they adjust.

I have 1 male and 2 female Kachese. All adults. He harassed them day in and day out. I have 20 juvies in the tank with them now. Not as much of a pest now. It's gonna be hard to get them to breed with only 3 females. Get you a colony or you will be left being frustrated.
