It was a painful decision, but because of the constant international travel that i will be doing because of work, i'm having to give up the hobby for now. Hopefully if i sell them locally, i'll be able to buy some offspring back in the future.
I have 12 (4.5-month ; 1") juvie Betta Macrostoma for sale $20 each
At this age, they are too young to sex, but according to statistics 6 or more will almost guarantee you a breeding pair.
This is the spawn immediately after this one:
Mac Spawn in Houston
Also, my adult pair (about 2 years old) will be up for sale shortly. The male has a mouthfull of eggs and should be spitting them out in about a week or so (hopefully).
They are a proven pair with 2 successful spawns under their belt. $200 for the pair and all their newlyborn fry (each spawn usually averages 15-20 fry). You'll be able to make all that back in one spawn...trust me...
The adults are wild caught and I personally brought them back from sarawak. Because their care is very specialized, i will only sell the adults to fellow hobbists who have experience in raising fry.
They live in pH 5.5, kH 4, GH 6.
This fish is not reccomended for beginners, so if you have little experince with softwater acidic species, i would advice against the Macrostomas.
Houston Galleria area. Sorry, don't have the means to ship right now, so you'll have to come pick them up.
Send me a PM
I'll try to get some current pics of the fish up soon, but for now, here's a link to some pics of the parents and the fry when they were younger.
Betta Macrostomas
Cheers
