  • PLEASE take my guppies - I'LL pay YOU!

All right, seriously. I have a ten gallon full of feeder guppies too numerous to count. For a reference, they've been in there for a little over 2 years, so you can just imagine how many...

I have been wanting to give them away for some time now, but I didn't want them to become food for other fish, I'm weird like that.    However, I'm desperate.

So, if ANYONE can take these, or knows of someone who would, please let me know. There's nothing to do on your end, I'll drop them off and everything. If you want a 10g for them, I can buy you a new one (or give you cash for what they normally cost, around $15 I think?)

Of course, I would prefer they not become food, but if that's not possible, as long as they have a good life until then, I'm happy. Thanks for any help.

Hey MB, I might be willing to take them off your hands. I set up a 125 as a plant growout tank and they could very well fill the bill as fertilizer producers for the tank. Basically the plan is to toss all my mollies and "trash" fish in the tank and forget about it.

Oh, Scott's just showing off. He calls them trash fish, but really they're his favorites of all.  :P

Well, I'd be happy to give some to you both, if you want. Both, because there are probably a couple hundred in there...And fishlady, I can pick out all the pretty ones for you.

          Just let me know!

Oh, just remember, these are feeder guppies, not fancy guppies...No huge fins and crazy colors.  I like them, though.  :)

                Mzungu,

Hopefully, we will have our garden pond finished soon. It will be big enough to hold maybe a hundred or more if you wish to drop them off. However, you do realize that outside in the pond they will be at risk to frogs and other natural little boogers, just like the ones in the bayou.

PS.....Very admirable of you to provide a tank for your fish, that is truly going above and beyond .... :)

                          Great news!
For some reason I seem to always have trouble with keeping fish that were imported from out of Towh, but once I get an F1 generation raised in the local water they multiply like mad.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
