  • Wanted: WTB: RCS (my last try with shrimp)

I've spent over 60 dollars on rcs/amanos already (so like 60 shrimp) and to this date none have survived past a month. So I've been fiddling with my water and now I think I got it right (lower nitrates now). Will anyone be willing to sell me some shrimp? This is probably going to be my last try with shrimp. If these go out I'm never shrimping again.

    Thanks.

I'm in the bellaire area. But I can drive out on weekends...

You've to be accidentally be doing something wrong, or just have real bad luck. I've had rcs live in a brand new setup with water i forgot to dechlorinate.

Try just setting up a new small 2.5-5 gallon setup with nothing but shrimp.

By the way i have some yellow baby shrimp i can sell you.

No idea what's going on. The tanks been set up for several months. Heavily planted with some tetras that are almost a year in my possession now. Going to try one more time and see what happens. How much for yellow shrimp?

I can do 15 baby shrimps for $5. Did they die or disappear, larger tetras can eat small shrimp.

+1, many aquatic medications and some other products contain copper

Keep some live plants when you grow shrimp, Plants are observe some unwanted chemicals and shrimps love to hand around the plants. My 20gal long is filled with Aquasoil Powder and lots of plants in it. water never been crystal clear till now bcoz i do cut and move plants and HOB filter flow fast into the bottom soil and stirrer it.

I do 2 type of water change, one is alternative day i add one Quart tap water to compensate water vapor. Second is once in a month 5-8 gallon RO water change. But i feed my shrimp everyday enough of tropical flakes, algae waffer, Azoo, home made etc. my shrimp berries like anything.

I have RCS, Neocaridina Heteropoda, Yellow shrimps. come and get it.
