  • Wanted: WTB my DREAM TANK! Please help

    Hi all,

I am in the process of reducing the number of tanks I am keeping and in order to do that I need to find a tank to keep all my livestock and plants in.

I recently ran across a craigslist's ad that I believe is my ideal and dream fish tank. Only thing was, it was already sold =( =( =(
Because I like it so much, I am willing ask around to see if anyone here might have an identical one or something similar.

Please let me know if anyone does. Thank you.
Here is the original craigslist ad with a picture of the tank.

Thanks for looking and your consideration

Don't worry 55 gallons are fairly common and quite frequently sold on craigslist and other sites as well as this one. Just keep a watchfull eye on the for sale threads.
    120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba
    180g - Petrochromis Macrognathus Dine/Tropheus Moorii Namansi I

Thien - I've got a standard 55 tank/stand combo that is essentially brand new that I can give you . . . it isn't the same dimensions as the tank in the picture though. I think Tetranerd hit the nail on the head with his 60g tub comment.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Gene, you know I'm watching out for that dream tank to hopefully appear again! =)

Tetranerd, thank you kindly for a heads up on what it looks like. I really do appreciate it as I am new to all the different shapes and sizes that fish tanks are made.
So now I know that my dream tank is a 60 tub. I will be on the hunt for such a beauty!

Tim, thank you so much but sadly to say, I have (2) 29g, a regular 20g, a 20g long, a 5.5g, and a 60g that might be similar to your 55g all in my small room.

I want to only perhaps keep the 60g in my room and have my dream tank in the living room. If I didn't have this 60g already I would take it off your hands for you.

Majority of my inverts, plants, snails, and fishes would be in the dream tank. Which means, I would have all those tanks to find new homes for and possibly a couple of your cube tanks and a 30g I have outside.

I have decided to reduce to just 2 if I ever find that dream tank. =)

Luxtralarge, thank you so much for your help! At this point into the hobby, I'm a little picky sorry.

Don't really like long tanks and really dont like high tanks.
I have a good amount of healthy plants growing along with so many inverts, snails, and Endlers that I need that deepness in a tank where they can all be happy and mesh together.

Thank you all for being so thoughtful and helpful thus far. I am truly grateful. Please let me know if anyone sees my dream tank anywhere. I really don't want to have 6 tanks running in my bedroom any longer. Too much water running! Yikes!

Free Endlers for anyone who helps me find this dream tank!
            Thanks all!
