  • L046 zebra plecos

Doing some moving around and decided that these are not needed.

    5 F1 L046 zebra plecos....smallest is about 2.00" largest being about 2.75"

Will not part, selling as a group only. Lineage comes from 3 different parents so the bloodline should be strong. They have been growing on NewLifeSpectrum H20 wafers, Hikari carnivore pellets and Omega1 Veggie wafers. Also included with the 5xL046 are the 5 slate breeding caves that I have for them....there are 3 that are perfect or suggested size for them to breed in and 2 that are slightly bigger for those zebras that prefer it.

They have been with me for about a year now and were at least a year old when I got them.....raised in Houston water straight from the tap but there is a piece of driftwood in the tank but it doesn't change the parameters much. They are living in a 20g long with slate caves and slate piles, These plecos come from the fast moving waters so the flow in the tank is a bit much....tank is running on an eheim 2213 and a maxi-jet900 so there is about a 30-35x turnover rate in this tank and they love it! Substrate is 1mm sand which is safer for them since they are bottom dwellers.

PLEASE DO NOT TROLL MY THREAD IF IT IS OUT OF YOUR BUDGET OR YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE ARE.......GOOGLE TO LEARN WHAT THEY ARE BEFORE TRASHING MY THREAD.
The last few auctions on aquabid have gone for $275+ for the same size no shipping.

ETA2: I do not know the sex of these as they are still a bit young in "zebra years". Zebras live a really long life and they mature really slow just like some other fish like Frontosas and arowanas. I did take this into consideration when I initially purchased these guys and bought two from one set of parents and I got the biggest and the smallest....likewise on the second pair and then the third an oddball one to give me a better chance at sex diversity.

I am asking $1200 for all 5 with 5 breeding caves and will throw in the slate pieces I have along with some foods.

ETA: Here are some older pictures of them and their home.

ek I am going to TRASH this thread every time you turn around. You know I have been waiting for those to breed & now when I dont have the money your going to sell them all off at one time & at $1200.00 for 5 of them that is a steal. Even th exporters are not selling them now. Give me your address so I can come give you a swift kick in your rear end.
If you would take an I.O.U. let me know. Oh would you take a 1st born for them.

Depends......will your first born clean, cook, do tank maintenance and take well to orders? I really had no plans on selling them since they don't require much attention right now just food and water changes. Had them for a year and for the most part they just sit there and I don't realy pay much attention to them so that when I do see them I will be like "ooooweee these guys have grown so much"

Walter I think you are the first of many that will chime in on me getting rid of them. I have friends that have been waiting as well.

I will say that I can hold them for a short with a down payment/layaway.

Well she wont do any of those things for me. You might have better luck with her.
What do you call a short time. To me it can mean up to 6 months. Are you in need of anything fishy I might have.

Ultimately what made you decide to sell them?  They maybe harder to find in the future if you decide to get them again.

Well I had to decide between all my fishies and right now the zebras are the ones I am the slightest bit willing to let go of.

Well that's the thing, I don't want to let go of any other fish and these I am willing to....don't want to but something has to go.

I am thinking EK needs to just get a bigger house, so he can get more fish tanks, so he can sell more baby fish, so he can buy a bigger house, so he can.............

I don't know why you would let something like that go.....yeah the money would be nice for another project but those things were awesome.
