The best store in Houston for plants is Village Tropical Fish.

Then you could take a look at City Pets

Aqua Soil is only sold by two company's in the US in here in Houston at ADG and in San Francisco. Aqua Soil is a ADA product and it's the best out there. I have it in all my shrimp tanks and run a 120 gallon Amano set up with it. I'm sure there are other substrates on the market and I have tried many of them in the last 30 years but Aqua Soil will knock your socks off! Village Tropical Fish became the Fish Gallery like 5 years ago! And aquabotanic.com from Robert doesn't exist anymore.
