  • Wanted: Freshwater Plant Aquarium Light Fixture and CO2 Injection System

Hello, I have a 75 gal (48"L) that I am converting back to a planted aquarium so I need to replace the PC lighting and add a complete CO2 setup to replace the old carbon block system. I would like to find a good deal on a Aquatic Life 48" x 4 (or 6!) T5 bulb setup with the LED lunar lights and three band timer and also a pressurized CO2 setup that has a 10# cylinder, pressure regulator, bubble counter / diffuser, and possibly a solenoid operated shutoff valve but I may have one of those still. I know this is pretty specific but I would rather get what I want than rush anything.

OT: save your money on the pH controller and just invest in a good solenoid/regulator.

thanks for the advice, its been a while since I used CO2 so affordable controllers were not an option back then and i really didnt need them with the Carbo Bloc systems.

well i picked up a super good deal on a 48" 4 x 54w wavepoint T5HO fixture and they guy threw in a 2 x 28W T5NO fixture for my dawn / dusk cycle and some a TrueLumen 4 x LED moon light. The TL is only 10" L so I picked up a transformer, y-splitter, and another strip off of amazon so i think the lighting may be okay at 3.6 WPG. It might still be interested in a 2 x 54W T5HO retro kit if anyone has an inexpensive one, I already have reflectors and bulbs.

I am picking up one of JustDoIts CO2 kits tonight, I am trying a pH controller this time around because I like gadgets and have lost fish before due to a equipment failure that caused a surge of CO2 to be released in the tank.

Other than perhaps swapping the NO dawn light for an HO model as I described above, that may do me for equipement. No on two algae eater livestock and that Styrofoam background!
