    thats a freash start up... there was still bubbles in the canister which makes that noise... other than that this canister is really quite...

              Its a bio media pvc shredding instead of ceramic rings... the sponge is clean... and there is a thick layer of ultra fine floss... no carbon filter... this is a good deal... because pvc shreading bio only comes from w/d box and unlike ceramic rings you dont have to change it ever...
