i aim to buy locally first when the opportunity present itself. when you buy from a store, you support the business for future needs (unless the mark up is ridiculous, i don't know anyone who pay 12 dollars plus per A-S grade crystal shrimp).

it is always, ALWAYS a treat to buy something at some one's house. when i come over, i get to look at other people's tanks, understand their set up, and always learn at least a thing or two! i would spent a few minutes looking into the tank, ask if i can open the cabinet, and play 20 questions about the over 9000 devices they got hook up that i don't recognize (some people got waaaaay too much enginuity).
