  • Wanted: Dwarf Baby Tears

I'm looking for some clumps of DBT so I can grow carpet in my shrimp tank and my 65.5 gallon. Does anyone have some to spare or sale?

Wow, they're a lot more expensive than I thought they would be. Online they're about 4 bucks for 2" diameter. I'm a tad bit impatient, I guess I'll take the drive up there on my next paycheck.

Ca Nguyen it looks like you live just down the street from me. I work at the foodtown on scarsdale. I live right behind San Jac.

the best way in my opinion is to grow it in high light, moderate co2. for example, in a 20 long tank with 2-3 bps co2 and 3-4 watt per gallon of t5HO. they should grow dense if you have good enough light, other wise it'll grow upward. once you got a carpet, slice section of it and move it to whichever tank you want. if you grow it on land, you have to keep it humid and plenty of light. it should grow just as fast as high light high co2, problem is 15% of the time, when you submerge them, they might start dying off before growing back strong. worst case i've ever had, a small clump totally die beyond rescue when i submerged it. but then again i ran out of co2 and didn't refill for over a month.

at this point, i might want to add that some people are above the law of physic... and chemistry...

for example, tank noob get away with not doing a water change on his high bio load tank for months.
