  • Setting up my school tank

I will be bringing a 55 gallon setup with me to school in the next couple of days. It will be an african tank with a pool sand substrate and texas holey rock and probably some italian vals. I am going to put some of my yellow lab juvies as well as a couple brichardi. I am short a couple of things still. Looking to TRADE for:

    - Heater (my room stays around 65 degrees)
    - Ceramic media for canister filters
    - Possibly some other variety of currently small fish (.5 - 2 inch range)

I would like to keep costs to a minimum (teacher's salary), therefore I would prefer trades over anything else. Here is just some of the stuff that I have to offer.
    - Italian Val, Corcksrew Val, Narrow Leaf Java Fern, Regular Java Fern, X-mas Moss, Wisteria, Hygrophilia, various crypts...
    - Fish pellets (Wardley)
    - Flake food(TetraColor, TetraMin, ...)
    - 10 gallon tanks
    - Yellow labs

If you don't see anything you want; PMme with what you have and the price for it.

Oh yeah... here is something that someone might be interested in:
13-15 F1 Cypchrichromis Leptsoma "Kipili" - $200  (there are at least 6 males colored up) Go to my photo album to see pics. Must be rehomed in a 4ft+ tank. I want to be sure that these guys get a good home.

Wow, seems you got considerably less replys and offers than the blondefemale.

Unfortunately i dont have any heaters or media. I have baby angels..but not for a African tank.

Raul - what?? If you want the cyps... I'll hold 'em for you as long as need be. Just say the word.

Walter - don't have any glosso. Mostly just what I mentioned. Have some Rotala indica as well. The narrow leaf java fern isn't that tall. I'll hunt through my tank tomorrow and give you a more complete list of what all I have - its a jungle in there! I know I should have some anubius.

I knew the glosso was reaching out there a bit.
I can drop by tomorrow & we can work something out.
I am thinking maybe I should get the cryps.

Tomorrow I will be in Anderson TX in the afternoon to pick up a dryer (mine broke). If you want, you can swing by in the evening (and perhaps help me put in the new dryer!!!)

I'm already blonde, and am willing to put on a bra if it helps ... although I have a feeling that it won't!

I have plenty of left over ceramic media from one of my eheims if you need more.  Probably 3-4 cups worth.

I have some blue slate rocks that are great if you want to do something other than holey rock.  Also have some blue bio balls.  If you need any parts, fittings etc I may have them.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
