The ad in todays junk mail said $1 a gallon on their rectangular tanks.  I guess some employees actually read the stores ads.

I did go to petco to look for a 20 gallon to go with my left over items. They did have a bunch of them but they were 20 longs. The stand I have will not work with it, so I decided to go to the other store and see if they had it. They did and I asked if they matched the price to their competition, which they did. To my surprise they took the tank to the registor but they left the canopy and light with it. So I backed tracked and decided to go with the one 40 gallon they had left and a 55 gallon for the petco sale price and with lights and canopy's

I went to Petsmart on Fairmont yesterday and they told me that they were not price matching Petco's $1.00 a gallon sale.

i dont work the register, but petsmart is pretty fair about price matching.  If petcos ad doesnt specify which brand of tank then you might be able to PM it @ petsmart.  No gurantees though
