                    Shrimp works best for me. Btw, if you're looking to "create" a RT, you're better off using a H. Carpintis. AKA Green Texas(City Pets has some really big ones). Texas cichlids have pearling that's pretty small. Also, be ready to devote 2+ years to actually create something RT like.

                        Texas chiclids can be caught in brazos and Guadalupe river.

                        Worms.

                        Small, thin circle hooks, light tackle.

                          Any ditch with water will usually have them. I just use really small hooks lol.

                            Extreme fish at times have Texas Red. Might want to check them out.
                            They are located off of Bellaire in the SW of town.
