  • Wanted: baby Mbu puffer

Looking for something small, like a 2-3" MBU that I can put with my tropheus, they are breeding way too fast so hopefully I can find one to help slow down the population and at the same time dwarf the puffer so it can stay in the tank forever.

LMK if you've seen some this size or have one to trade/sell.

    Thanks!

Too much trouble to catch now with all the rocks and bigger tank which is why I'm looking for a band-aid solution.

I used to have a nice sized ornate bicher and I know they could do the job, but fear all your shellies would be on the menu as well... I have seen them used for that in larger tanks for fry control. Maybe an endlicheri?

Your kidding about purposely stunting the puffer, right?

Yeah I understand that man. I have a small tank and it's extremely frustrating taking rocks out, muddying up th water to catch a few fish. But it's apart of the game I guess.

Like dwarfing fish so I can keep it forever.

Not if you leave them to spit in the tank and then add a solution.

Bichirs would be a better fit and do come from the same region. I know there are a few bichirs that are found in and around the same area

Ornates are found in Tanganyika, they'd be biotope specific and would do the job.
