He had only juvies and some adult oranges. I asked if they were the same as cherries but they didnt know. Htey were asking 1.99 for the orange shrimps.

Caridina cf. propinqua, decent price but they have a larval stage.

i am going to give them a try. i read 6 is the min to do a colony.

i want those just for fun. i dont know anything about brackish or salt water. and i havent found anything about how to determine the sex of them. 6 is th minimum to have a stable colony but i i think i can handle 10 right now.

i will try to breed CRS not the oranges or cherries. i am glad i havent been able.

Sexing is somewhat easy with the opaque shrimp and if your eyes are good there are pictures and info about sexing for just about any and every shrimp.

They are sexable and have produced eggs, just unable to keep the larval stage alive. Salt or brackish is in my opinion a complete farce that is perpetuated by folk that choose to accept a falicy. The idea they migrate miles at a time and can migrate back is just crazy in my mind. I am of the opinion that they do breed in fresh water and we have been unable to reproduce them due to a defeciency we are unable to replicate in the confined aquarium. As a prime example, we will look at our local ghost shrimp. Every site suggests they need brackish water to reproduce (this is a catch all for crazies to justify why they fail) and I will agree I have never succeeded in reproducing them in the home aquarium despite many berried females in my possession for years. But when looked at rationally, they reproduce insanely in the DITCH, thats right the drainage ditch down the road. Now I could assume they do indeed migrate to Galveston Bay, but thats crazy and I know that. They could utilize spaceships and breed on Mars, but again there is no evidence to support that and everything suggests quite the opposite. Again, this is my own opinion, but given the massive size of all these shrimp in question, I ask you to imagine it 'migrating' even a mile with all the predators in its native habitat and somehow back again? Now move that into literally tens to hundreds of miles and you have quite literally an impossibility akin to Mars... Salmon do that, 1" shrimp I find implausible

well i shall give it a try. i can only afford 10 right now as i just refill my co2 and it was $40 the guys where they swap them were going to give me an ugly tank and send mine to the factory. my tank is so shiny and new lol.
