Eheim 2217

I hate to sell this but I am going to bigger canister filter & need the money to help pay for the new one.

I have two links for a new one & each have it listed at $149.00 so I will ask for half of that price $75.00.

I am taking it down tomorrow morning. So the bio load is still good.
It has all the media still in it.
In case you not know about the 2217 it is rated for a 160 gallon tank with 264 gph.
I think I still have some of the white filters for it. If I do they will go with it.

Humm, rated for 160 gallons you say  :think: .  Is that way my test angel is plastered to the side of the bow front I just set up   :doh:

HAHAHAHA I used it on my 75 gallon that I had with the spray bar facing at the surface on the side of the tank.
It all depends on how you place the spray bar on how much disturbance you have in the water.

Does it come with the suction and discharge block valves?

What media do you have init?

I had it facing the back but it was still creating a whirlpool  8O .  I did cut the flow down on one of the quick releases and released the poor little fella from his prison and he's swimming around just fine now.  A little flatter on one side, but hopefully he'll puff back out  :wink: .  Or, I could just get some salmon, they like to swin against the current, don't they?  

Tiapan, at the rate it was circulating I would have had shredded plants in no time     I did attach some narrow leaf java, regular java and nana petite to a piece of african root just to give the tank some color.  

I'll see how the restriced flow works, but, like I said the other day, a 2217 on a 35 gallon bow front is major overfiltering.

It came with the tank but I'll most likely downsize it.  I over filter all my tanks, but this is a little extreme.  Guess now I need to look for a larger tank to go with my filter?  Now that's a switch isn't it?

Geoff it comes with everything a new does.
Except one of the suction cups is missing.
The media is the same as a new the new one has.
Oh I all most forgot. The shutoff on the return line is broken so I put the hose straight the the head.


On a 35 it would be way over kill.

ok, do i see some of you say "salmon"?

how the hell do you put salmon in these little tanks?  don't they grow to huge proportions? or are these something other than the salmon we usually eat?

Sorry, I was being my usual smart $## self about the salmon.  I was just being facetious about the current from my filter.  However, there may be someone here with a tank large enough for a salmon.  I do know some here have/had local perches and bass in their tanks, so if someone really did have a salmon in their tank, I wouldn’t be shocked  8O
