  • Wanted: Small 1-2" aquatic non-slider turtle

Looking for a baby turtle to put into my tank if anyone has one or knows of where to get one.

Not looking for any sliders or cooters, local only please so I can see it before I buys it.

If they are illegal species please do not post... pm me instead.

I'm going to have to check that place out. the painted is cool but just a slider. the pearl river is cool too but another slider. I think the coolest looking was the fly river. pig nose turtle.
I have to go to tomball tomorrow and I will be close to hockley. I may stop tomorrow and look at what they have...
I will let you know ek.

Eric is a really swell dude Q. If you ask him, I'm pretty sure he can get you what you want at pretty much any size. He managed to get me ackies monitors back when I was in jr. high and when I was into reptiles way more. So if you know how hard they're to come by you'll know you're in good hands.

Lol he won't trust me. I'm on a list for more ackies and that list has been up for 2 years! I still call and bug him every so often and see if he can sneak me a female or 2 )

So are the ackies protected or not legal in Tx? probably should delete your post cause it's hard to find a good smuggler locally these days, then pm me more info or secrets words to drop when I'm there.

Lol they're not illegal! Ackies are just one of the many lizards that are hardly in the trade now and days. back about 8 years ago they were everywhere but, breeders have slowly stopped they're breeding or sold off their pairs to some dumb kids who have no idea what they're doing and end up killing them. They use to be imported from Australia before the ban and most of the ones you see that are for sale are all true so theirs 100% you'll get a true ackies. only difference is that theres 2 types of ackies. Red and yellow, reds being the bigger, nicer, and more pricey ones. When I had my yellow pair I was still balling selling a single one for $150. Reds go about $200-$250 depending on size and age.
