  • Wanted: looking for small but reasonable inverts..in the elkhart goshen indiana area

    hello i have 2 salt water tanks and 4 freshwater tanks..im new at the salt water but looking for strange and reasonable inverts..want to do both my tanks with inverts or strange salt water life...
    so far i have ''
    1 pink sea cucumber
    1 red flame scallop
    1 candy striped shrimp
    1 chocolate chip starfish
    1 tuxedo blue sea urchin
    it took me 1 1/2 years to convince my hubby to let me venture into salt water..
    now ive decided to make my tanks with the strange and unusual..

        City pets here in Houston had a tiger mantis a week or two ago don't know if they ship or not or liveaquaria.com

          Lol you could say good bye to the scallop. I've seen mantis go nuts for clams so I can only imagine it'll end in the same result :P

                Something interesting to look for is a pom pom crab. they carry around lil anemones in their claws trying to catch food in the water column maybe a feather duster or 2 and maybe some other odd looks crabs like porcelain crab.

                  it's not really rare or anything, but i've a mithrax crab you can just take if you want, he's discovered the taste of polyp so would be good if you're doing an 'alternative' tank.
                  i've got some display macro frags for sale as well, there's only one other person in houston that does marine macro tanks, so it's certainly something different ;-)

                          To be honest a Mithrax crab aka emerald crabs are easily found at most fish speciality stores that have saltwater. They usually go from anywhere from $5 to $15 depending on size.

                              Macro display is the bizznit!

                              I went from full SPS to macro display and enjoyed it much more..
