    You would have to fine mesh the strainer plates and make sure those plates sit as flush with the reactor body as possible. I added layers of coarse sponge up top before the return to limit further the tiny bits of purigen that makes it past.

    The quality on my SMR1 is pretty beast, all acrylic plates are damn near perfect fitment it's unreal and the strainer plates are amazing. I think it was well worth the money and I've used the TLF reactor,PM and the Kent one.

    I want to get a second one to run other media to further better the water quality and that reactor will then feed into a denitrator

          so did you use the standard size SMR1 or the XL version EK?
