  • WTB....36" light

I am looking for either a dual T5 setup...2 bulbs prefer 10,000k/Freshwater or a 2x96 or even 1x96w Power compact fluorescent light fixture in 36". They do need to be in working condition and would like them to be aesthetically good as well.

Please PM with what you got and how much you want for it....

    Thanks in advance!

I am looking for something with bulbs that are kelvin rating of 10,000 or less preferably 10,000k and 6700k but 9325k, 6500k, 8000k or even 7100k will work.

                Re: WTB....36" light

You wouldn't happen to have a different bulb to replace that actinic would you? those bulbs cost like $30 which would kinda up the price on your fixture for me.

                          Re: WTB....36" light

I got a 24" 2x65w for $30 and it works good as well......I paid $170 for my 36" 2x96w coralife and it was new from a LFS which cost $200 online.

I might buy an odyssea fixture instead since I have found those new for $80 and they are 2x96w or even the 1x96w which is like $45.

I was hoping to find something cheap that no one needs anymore but if it's not possible to find one at a decent price I would rather buy a new fixture since it is not much more after you factor in replacing the bulbs.

word of caution on odyssea fixtures

                            prone to malfunction

have heard of them catching on fire

cheap in price yes, but also cheap in quality

                              Regarding Oddssea....

I have not experiened any problems myself, but I was told by a dealer to use the feet to support the lamps if at all possible. Try to avoid overheating by using the support legs.
The same dealer told me to throw away any Oddssea Power Head if it fails to start or shocks you. Take that for what it's worth.
