might as well start hoarding now... so i can have everything ready when it comes time to start my first salty.. =DD

skimmer:
bubble magus nac+3
(might consider other brand too)check

pump:
eheim
mag3/5
rio
maxi-jet

reactor:
practically any that works well... (phosphate)

refractometer:
practically any
