    Slate?

    Okay... I have seen pictures and several people have referred to the beige things they use in stacking and in making caves as "slate".  I have some in a setup I purchase and CBerry saw it today.  Where do you buy it?  I want to build more hiding spots for my cichlid mixed bunch or create a cool atmosphere in my incoming 55 or postentially the 75.

    Also, does anyone have any working approx. 22.5 inch lights?  I need to light fixtures for 2 of my tanks (20 reg).  Pm me with asking price :-)
    5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp
    20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
    29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
    29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
    29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
    55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey
    75 fw - large Jack Dempseys / pictus cat/ yoyo loach/ Red gippicep    / 10+" oscar/ parrot

    go to those yard places.. like landscaping places. they have all sorts of rocks and they sell them at around 13 cents a pound.  the one i know of is off 290 and huffmeister or something like that.

      I get mine from a local place. 3 out of the 4 times i have gone to buy some rocks they gave it to me for free becuase i was takin mainly smaller leftovers. Fine with me since it fills my tank up nicely.

        yeah...it's your 10gal setup I bought that keeps getting the compliments.  So I'm looking for more lmao

          lol.... that was actully bricks i had not slate. It looked cool when i had it setup, almost like ancient ruins

          but slate would look cool too...

            You can buy slate squares at HomeDepot and such and just break it to scape your tank.
