All the ones I have seen as of late are way to small to be worrying about sexing...I had some that were 2.5-3 that I recently sold and those were IMO just babies which I had for over a year.

All the breeders that I have seen were nearing 4.5-5" and they grow stupid slow. I know a guy in NY that's breeding them right now.

wow it will be about 2 to 3 years on that size.. unless you have some miracle grow to sprinkle on them...

there is a couple that breeds them in SA texas.. but i promise they arent telling any of there secrets or selling any breeders. i offered the a stupid price on a pair of fire fins and they said there not for sale.... maybe the guy in ny would like to sell a pair... get in touch with him because i would love to buy a pair..... type a color doesnt matter...

I'm hunting for some as we speak....LOL.  Didn't want to spend the $40 ea. for the medium sized ones at Ultimate.  You know how it goes.  They are fun to watch regardless, and I have nothing but time.  

Anybody want to buy some Peacocks so that I can buy some larger ones...LOL????

yes they are cool to watch but man i just lost patients on them growing... the biggest were about 5 in to about 3in

I for one, appreciate fish that take time to grow, but that's just my personal preference.

between the 2 of us we have about 10 calvus's now....he has 4 in his tanks and i have 6....we enjoy them immensly.....

Yeah, we bought two comps from you, but one died after transport, due to borrowing too deep into a shell, or the other pushed the first one in too deep?

But we have 7 Calvus and one compressicep.....I really like them too.....would be willing to buy more if they where available and not too hard on the wallet....

I just usually buy a few at a time and when I go to put them in the tank I vent them....I vented all 39 of my Ilangi's when I got them..........my eyes wouldn't focus right after that though
