I'm looking for adult pairs of A. Calvus & A. Compressiceps. anyone ?

good luck getting a pair of compr or calvus.... i spent well over 200 dollars on a colony of about 10 and for a 1 1/2 they didnt do jack crap and on top of that they need about 5 years to grow to sex mature..  plus they are almost impossable to sex.... if you find a pair and they have another pair please hit me back and maybe we can get a better deal...

Maybe we need to try and find a group buy online on a few groups of these guys.  I think there are a number of folks looking on here and no one seems to know of a good place.

there is a reason for that people just dont sell pairs of them... takes to long to grow out and if they get them to breed they hold on to them until they die....

Mike use to bring in some really large sized comps/calvus.....those were breeder size.

I bought a few from Mike when he brought them in and they were large adults and sexing them wasn't really that hard.

everyone i have talked to about sex them says they are "almost imposable to sex "dave from daves rare fish.... even looking at pictures of female and male reproductive organs of this fish makes it look really hard to me... so maybe you can pick out males and females for the group that wants to buy paris?

If there is a lot to choose from it makes it easier to sex.....there are only two different looking anal areas and seeing a more then just one/two makes it a bit easier.

hopefully you can do that then... because the bunch i had must of all been the same sex.. we will use your skills to make pairs for us.. how does that sound.... maybe a beer per pair????

Mike is ordering Raul a larger Fire Fin, so maybe he has an angle on a good breeder that we can get a few groups from.  I would like to see what kind of a price he comes through on this one and then go from there.  I have 5 Black Calvus and 4 Gold Compressiceps but it's going to take a while to get them to breeding size.
