Who / Where can I buy Crossocheilus siamensis from
I have a 50g tank with shrimps and plants. Red algae is everywhere . I need some true Crossocheilus siamensis to get rid of them. Will Crossocheilus siamensis hurt shrimps?
I honestly would be too scared to put them in a tank with shrimp that I cared about. If you choose to do so, let us know how it goes.
Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
you can get them at aquarium world off of 290 and 43rd(?) pretty frequently. I got mine from there. The true Siamese Algae eating Shark has a primarily vegetarian diet when young but will quickly learn to take flake and other proteins as they mature. i have seen them take mosquito larvae and brine shrimp. my adults do not bother amano or wood shrimp in any manner but i dont know about dwarf shrimp. get young ones for your algae if you do try it and make sure that you can tell the difference between a SAES and a Flying Fox. FF are often sold under the former name and are more aggressive and seem to like protein more.
