  • Wanted: Plants for a nano tank

I'm slowly building out this 5 gal nano tank and am in need of some suitable plants. Let me know what you have and I am welcome to suggestions.

A few questions that will help us answer you. What type of light and substrate are you using? Are you planning on using CO2?

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I have a Finnex Ray2 for lighting, amazonia for substrate, no CO2 yet. As small *** the tank is (5gal) I'd like to get away with just excel. But, I am open to the idea of CO2 if necessary.

A dwarf puffer. Maybe some otos. Might try a couple of shrimp and see if the puffer leaves them alone.

dwarf hairgrass; HC; Anubius nana 'micro'; any type of moss would be good choices IMHO

Any recommendations on where to source these? Locally? The hairgrass and HC are definitely on my list.

Put up a want ad on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. I'm sure there are plenty available locally. You may want to look into HAAPS -- the Houston Area Aquatic Plant Club.
