its way way outa price range, thats crazy price, they go ripped off, you could custom build a stand and canopy for a whole lot less, just takes time, and then they had a bowfront near that size for a few hundred from village before they moved so crazy expensive, obviouly that person didnt know how to buy a tank , i think the tank they sold from village was 175 or bigger, silly to spend 10K

That is a really nice stand and canopy which shouts quality and for it to be acrylic I can see where the price is coming from......also has a 4' sump too.

it's a very nice piece of furniture as well as a cool fish tank.....but in all reality he won't get near that price for it....that's the sad part.......

I'm guessing everyone has seen the 700 gallon glass tank on ebay and craigslist over the last few months. This is a less than half the size and a few thousand more.. too bad. I'm such a penny pincher I hate to see people loose money so frivolously.

I think that one was posted on MARSHreef for the longest......seller will not post pictures...never updates their post and for the past few months they just start a new thread each month trying to get like $15k for it I think.

For that much Money I would get something made into the house or get a swimming pool dug into the back yard and fill that with fish.

Well after a quick calculation with a couple of things figured out... look at your number keypad on your PC.. note that the 7 is above the 4...

Lets just say the size of that tank is about 400 gallons.. not 700 mentioned in the ad.

I have a family member building a house in Austin...they are having a reef tank built in that is probably over 700 gallons.
I don't know the exact dimensions, but he mentioned the height is somewhere in the 6-8 ft range; the maintainence people will need to swim inside the tank to clean and maintain it; I think it is similar to the display tank at the Fish Gallery.
I am quite anxious to see this reef environment when it is finished.
The house will not be built until next year, so I will wait patiently.
