What color, type of fins and sex are you looking for on the dwarf bristle nose pleco? We have a few extra ones the bigger we have a better chance of sexing.
1- brown 2" = $5
2 - albino 2" = $10 each
2 - albino 3" and carry the long fin gene = $15 each
2 - brown longfins 3" plus = $15 each
We will be at HLA meeting tomorrw 10AM-Noon @ Fish Ranch II call me if interested and you can meet us there 409-771-3305. Other was we live near Galveston and I will be going out of town for a week starting next Wednesday. later, ken/mark
I think I will need at least 3 inches (to manage my 100 gal planted tank) since my other 3'' common pleco does not seem to be that hard-working (or the tank is too big by himself).
So, can you please post the pic of 3'' albino and brown long fin? If we have the deal, then I will be at FIsh Ranch 2 on Saturday at 9AM b/c my work starts at 10.
I just visited Fish Gallery yesterday. They have some baby 2'' brown bushy nose for $12.99. I think the price is expensive, but must admitted showed tanks are amazing. I also check at some LFS such as Xtreme, Unlimited Fish&Pets, CityPets but they don't carry those. Can anyone please tell me how can such the most hard-working algae eater such as bushynose are not popular at LFS? By the way, I decided to make one more trip to Fish Ranch II this weekend to check for the availability?
yeah your probably gonna have better luck with us then the stores, they are just too expensive now. Mike had some albino ones for not too much last time i was there. Might wanna ask him if he still has them. and i would be careful with a normal pleco in a planted. they will eat plants like no tommorow.
Never fear I is here

Thanks Hanson77, I am still waiting for his response. I pm him 2-3 days ago.
Tiapan, are you serious? The common pleco may kill my plant. Oh no, I will never put it in my tank. Thanks for letting me know. By the way, when I hear people says the brittlenose/bushynose are the best algea eater, but there are many speicies such as clown, albino, long fin...So which one of this species is the best algea eater?
They are all really good algae eaters. The reason that everyone likes them is because they stay relatively small compared to normal Plecos. As far as which one is the best, it's more of which one do you like the looks of the best. Grant it, they all have the face that only a mother could love...but some are appealing to some folks and others to other folks.
Aquazoo had some last time I was there. I think he had both the long fin and short fin albino's. I have some small short fins right now. Growing like a weed.
Check and PM "Islander" he has a number of them making babies for him, and has several young 2" or less guys that he may still have for sale.
