truth be told the name red phoenix is not a actual gene trait name like i.e. ZZ, Kamfa, GM, RT, etc etc. The name Red Phoenix is more of a made up name of the breeder to give his fish a nice enticing name to help increase sales. hope the frys turn out well. and from what you say about it being some type of "Red Phoenix" flowerhorn x rt female, you might get a few in that batch to resemble some rt. other than that you might just get some pretty interesting pearly red Kamfa. and from the looks of the pic of the mother she resembles more of a faded pearly ZZ than a texas. So i wouldnt consider this batch as a SRT Frys. Either way Good Luck With Sale, i do see a few in the pic as keepers. :]

I've been in this hybrid game for a while. The fish they have pictured is a SRT, a very high quality fish that can fetch hundreds of dollars. I think they'll be some sort of Texas hybrid, but I know for sure they won't be blood red like that fish in the picture. You can get decent looking ones on aquabid shipped from Asia, but those will run you 150+.

+1 to tony. yep i wouldn't buy from online fish stores like those for half the time they are miss leading their customers in buying something they are not gonna get. Picture says a thousand words, even if they are lies. ^_^ also when buying on aquabid, do some back ground research on the person selling the fish, only buy from a trustable source. :]

and mykokfish haha i dont think any of those frys will turn out like your srt you are selling.
