  • Wanted: WANTED: Electric Blue Jack Daniels

Have my tank almost ready for its new family. Would prefer 'fry' over the bigger ones. Anyone have any for sale, now or in the near future?

Are they? I've never heard of them being sterile, but who am I to say anything?

+1 Xtreme doesn't have any at the moment, but you could try calling and asking them when they'll get getting some. You should also try Fish Ranch II.

Found an article about breeding them out of TFM. It is possible but sounds like a lot of work.

Electric blue Jack Dempsey breeding is a delicate process. Luckily, this talented aquarist offers advice for successful spawning.

I saw some small ones recently at Fish Gallery but they were pretty pricey considering the source.

It does seem like a lot of work... It would be quite rewarding if you could manage to pull it off though! Those EBJD are not cheap!

Went by Houston Aquatics today and they had two left at very good prices. I think 25 or 30 each but dont quote me on this. They are about 2 to 3 inches long. Bottom left tank on the row with the plecos and live plants.
