If you live in Texas, I think you can call up TPWL and ask for some gambusia. I read somewhere on their site that they will give you some if you own a pond to keep mosquitoes to a minimum. If not, you can always go to some bayous, creeks, ditches, or any body of water and scoop them out yourself.

If you still can't find any, you could always use guppies, mollies, or any livebearers. They'll do the same as the gambusia and can be quite sturdy pond fish.

Where do you live? Most ditches have them and a simple net or even a window screen folded into a funnel will help you catch them.
