What's with the extra fancy words after them? The same guy is selling 6 different variants with duplicate listings (one for international shipping and one for EU shipping). I'm thinking all of those posts are the same fish/eggs but tagged with made up names at the end. I tried searching for them and the only thing that comes up are these aquabid listings... Anyone with more insight want to chime in?

made a mistake on the guys name on the earlier post. but the guy who sells back pearl killies is in Portugal. The aquabid post you have is the same guy. The Sam guy sells Simpsonichthys chacoensis- looks similar diffrent continent

I'm still wondering about all the different Black Pearl killifish he has listed. What's the difference between the 6 different ones he posted? I looked them up and came up with nothing on varients/strands?

As far as A. nigiripinnis- He is listing the locals they come form. Serious killie ppl like to know what geographic area their strain came from. There may not be much if any diffrence.

pretty much LOL! So if you were to sell or give the eggs away, you'll want to record along with spawning date the species and local, esp. on a rare killie like this.

Received confirmation from Jose (seller in Portugal). He said he does international shipping and will collect the eggs during the week and ship them next week because he has to make padded envelopes for best condition shipping.

It's 8€ for 25+ and 6€ for international shipping. Converted to USD, that's $10.2872 for 25+ eggs and $7.7154 for shipping. He charges a 5% fee to cover the paypal transaction fee for international transactions. So the total is about $18.90.

Sounds good to me! I'll be ordering some from him soon! Will be buying Austrolebias nigripinnis "Carmelo" (Anthony! LOL). Let's hope a good amount survives and actually hatch...

Start the Infusoria cultures now or try getting some micrworms if possible. It was the only way I hatched any nothos... Even baby brine shrimp were too big for them and they ignored the frozen daphnia...

Will do! Thanks for the heads up!

No problem, I wish I had thought a bit ahead when I had gotten them. Its really easy to start cultures and I'm sure I would have gotten better fry survival rates. There are a few spots online about starting cultures and they usually take a couple of weeks to get going well. I bet the water in your plant jars might do the trick as well. I even thought about sticking a large bucket of water and wilted lettuce leaves outside just to have a stockpile...

Looking up how to make infusoria and microworms right now. Gonna get started on a culture of the two and bbs asap since it'll take a while for the eggs to get here.

I got freshly hatched BBS from Houston Aquatics for literally nothing(less the a few dollars) and I imagine a few other stores can hatch some for you whenever you need... I just never found anyone with microworms, bannana worms or vinegar eels.

Sounds good. I'll just do that for the BBS then since Houston Aquatics isn't that far. I'm gonna order a starter culture for microworms and start up a two cultures. I'm sure that'll be plenty enough for them to get by with until they can start eating brine shrimp, small pellets, etc.

Gonna make a new thread on this to keep from bumping a no longer needed wanted thread.
