These are the best things if you want to raise healthy fry. Keep your cultures going. I'll buy some from you once I get my stuff in order. If your cultures are doing good, that's great, because many times when you buy these cultures online they fail quickly. awsome job

Indeed they are. When I ordered my starter culture, it was half dead. I was very surprised some survived! It was only in transit for 2 days. Houston heat made the oats liquified. Took about two weeks for the starter culture to take off because there was so few that made it through the transit. Plus it was in a ziploc bag... Extremely messy and oily! Smelled like hot, musty, old people feet! The ones I have don't smell that bad and last longer.

It smells like old people feet because of the yeast the microworms feed on.

Yeah, but the stench is worse when you use oats. I use insta potatoes, so it doesn't smell very bad and lasts longer. I've got 9 tupperwares right next to me and no smell. It does smell a little when you open it though.

Will these survive and reproduce in a planted tank? I'm looking for natural dario dario food.

No. They will die off about 48hrs in water. They need to breathe. You can keep them in a tupperware and they reproduce like crazy, in the millions. I have a How-to in the OP. Great food source for small fish. Easy to keep up. I might get some Dario Dario in the future and they will be eating this stuff. It's gut loaded with protein.

Ttt still got a good amount. Cultures last about 3 weeks with insta potatoes. 4+ if they're stored in room temp or lower, buy they reproduce faster in higher temp
