Cyprichromis leptosoma "Kipili"

I have about a dozen F1 Cyprichromis leptosoma "Kipili" that I got about a year ago from Dane in Dallas. The males have just colored up, and it seems to be an preety even m/f ratio. There are two dominant males that are flashing all the time now that I got rid of their tankmates (tropheus). I love these guys, but need to make room/money for my WC order.    You can compare the price of these guys to the smaller, tank-raised cyps at Fish Gallery that were $35 ea.

$150 for the group. Local Pickup only.

Not yet... they are just now starting to signs of breeding behavior now that the tropheus are gone.

Tim, I am picking up a 5' tank in the coming week so if you still have these then I would be interested in getting them if they are still available.

as tempting as this sounds, I'm trying to hang on to every penny for a 72" light for the 150 and materials for a stand/canopy.

yeah i just checkin that import thread, i figured he was gettin the orchids, wish i had the tank space and the cash to play like that lol. oh well i still got my cyps lol. anyway good luck with the orchids and if i had room you know i would take your cyps, but such is life in a one bedroom apartment.

Semper - They look very similar to the Chaitika Blue, (although not as much blue on the anal fins)... and also to the Bulu Point. You are more than welcome to come see them if you would like in person. Or if you want me to TRY to take better pictures of them, I can.


Geoff - True that! Definitely jumpers and can get startled easily.


J-WS6 - I fell in love with cyps and featherfins quite a while ago. It may be the only thing that can convince me to get rid of my rainbowfish tank.

Forreal, both of you have seen my apartment and I still managed to fit a 150 in the living room in place of where the 55 used to be.
