Free tank on Craigslist

This is NOT my tank.  Just thought I'd pass it along.  Wish I had room to pick it up to sell.  If someone here gets it I do take finders fees.

Go with me and I'll give you half of what it sells for.....I've emailed them, telling them I'll pick it up tomorrow am.  I'll store it in my garage until it sells.

They use false adverts to compile spamming lists of email addresses. You get more money for the list of addresses if you can prove its a used email account.
What better way than to offer someone unbelievably free, and let the emails pour in.

emailed them right after they posted it....about 15 minutes or so.....no reply.  seems too good to be true....here comes the spam!!!

Aw crap... did the same thing. Been refreshing craigslist all day looking for a good deal then this baby came along. Ah well, I wonder how many of us ended up falling for it if it really was a scam.

CF, let us know if you manage to get it. Maybe this ones a real one. I wouldnt hold my breathe, they could sell that baby for hundreds quite easily - and they offer to bring it to you...
