I checked out the tank, glass is broken in the middle so I did't get it. I was scare the tank would collapse without the middle glass to hold it together from the pressure.

That sucks, did you get dimensions? was it really a 175?

maybe it used to be a salt tank and they had halides above it..

How did you know J-WS6?
The guy told me he had the MH on there, that why it broke(too hot). Anyway, there were just tank and stand, not RR, and I'm sure it was a 135gal.

Question.. could that be repaired to the point where it would not be a problem again or would you still steer clear of it ?
I am not interested in the tank I am just asking people who might know better than I :)

I know you can make your own brace out of metal and attach it on the outsides of the tank. Maybe someone can cut a 1/2" thick piece of glass for you to glue on to replace the broken piece.

If all the brace does it keep the tank from bowing, then you should be able to fabricate one out of metal.

I think you can silicone another piece of glass in place and it'll be good as new. I've never done it but I've heard of people doing it.

If you have to replace the center brace it may be worth $100.
