  • Sailfins to a good home...

I need to rehome about 15-20 Sailfin Mollies...many males and some juveniles.
I have several new spawns coming along, and I don't have space to keep growing these. They are really beautiful Sailfins, and are different ages (2-3 months); all are Platinum or Dalmation (a few are Marbled).
They grow fast, and get along with anything that doesn't eat them. Not the common LFS quality.
Take a few or all of them, just let me know who is interested asap.
    Absolutely not for feeder fish!

I'd like a trio or so, if you don't give them all out at once.....either way, no problemo...

Re: Sailfins to a good home...

No problem...good sailfins don't really mature 'til 2+ months old, as in turn to male. I have many males, but until the others reach 3+ months old there is no way to know if they're gonna be females or males.
I can easily give you 3 males, but any "female" not 3 1/2 to 4 months old may not be a female.
I just had a Green Lyretail Sailfin turn male at 5 months old, although the Platinums and other color hybrids usually finish maturing at 3-4 months old.
Let me know what you want.

If you plan on going to mikes this weekend, let me know, I need to see him about some NLS he is supposed to have gotten in recently.

I'll take a few off your hands or whatever you have left at the next meeting.

Re: Sailfins to a good home...

Not a problem; I am currently growing out 2 different spawns of Sailfins, and I only keep 8-10 from each.
My need right now is to make room in my tanks for the newer fry I am growing out, 'til I can tell which ones I will keep.
I need some space right now, so if anyone needs some fun tank buddies let me know!

I have 4 females due in 3 weeks, all planned breedings, and I have Black Lyretail Sailfins from 2 different spawns growing in my fry tank and my growout tank.
As well as some beautiful Platinum and Dalmation juveniles...

Anyone who wants some Sailfins down the road I've gotcha covered.

I have a select few set aside for Tradesman, and will donate to the HLA auction; I need a home asap for 15 or so larger juvies, 2-3 months old.

I can take 5 or 6 off your hands.  My 135G planted tank could use some algae control!

Let me know what works this weekend, I am in NW Houston near Mikes Tropical Fish.

Re: Sailfins to a good home...

Didn't anyone get a tank for Christmas?

I am going to donate whatever isn't taken by members for free to the HLA auction Jan 5, so if no one really wants Mollies this nice for free, they will be available for bidding at the FRII, at the HLA mini auction.
This doesn't mean those I promised will not get their goodies; I will bring those seperately to the Auction and the GHAC meeting Jan 18.
Cichlidfan and Loretta...if you are possibly coming to the HLA meeting/auction let me know aforehand.
Anyone else...I would really like to share the love and rehome about 10-15 Sailfins still.
