Hi,
I'm new here. Long story short, I have a 75 gallon reef tank with an uncontrolled population of pink xenia. Some appears to pulse, some does not. It's attached to rocks, the back wall, the sand bed, etc. It's also impinging upon other corals and I'd like to remove it once and for all (if possible).
Problem is I work far from home and only get home once a month, and cannot possibly do the removal on my own without taking the tank apart and probably killing a lot of livestock. (I also can't reasonably expect my wife to do this while I'm gone). So what I'm looking for is a helpful soul who will travel to my (second problem) faraway home in Orange, TX (about two hours east of Houston), harvest all the xenia he/she can remove from the tank, and hopefully find a good home for it.
This might could be a profitable endeavor for the interested party, as there is a fair amount of interest in the hobby in xenia (and I have a hell of a lot of it). Anyone interested?
PM me if you'd like to discuss this offline (phone or email might work best).
Thanks for your consideration!
