  • WTB: Small/Medium Driftwood

First of all, I am new here.  I found this site browsing some other forums (I think either aquariacentral or plantedtank) and you guys seem to have a nice community.

Anyway -- I am starting my first planted tank, a 29 gallon.  I want to get a piece of driftwood to put on one side.  I'd like it to be sort of like a stump with a couple branches coming out of it sticking kind of diagonally up.  Specifically I am looking for something 12-18 inches long and not more than 14 or 15 inches tall.

If you have something you think I may be interested in, please post a picture of it or a description.  I live in The Woodlands, and would like to buy between Conroe and 1960 but I may drive farther if you post a good picture or sell for a good deal

    Thanks in advance!

As expensive as they are and as crappy their service is..........Fish R Us has some pretty nice driftwood....if not check out manzinita.com  Islander usually brings some nice looking pieces to the auctions....might wanna pm him and see if he has any.

Welp, manzinita.com seems to be some sort of nutrition/catering site and Islander lives in Hitchcock which is a bit farther than I want to drive.  Where are your auctions typically held?

I'm doing a fishless cycle so I probably have 3-4 weeks before I can get fish and plants, but I wanna go ahead and get a piece of wood and get it soaking.

I'd kinda like to buy something cheap from a member here, as driftwood at stores is expensive as you pointed out.  Fish R Us wants $25 a piece, and their pieces are all a bit big for what I'm looking for.

edit: thanks fishlady.  haven't heard of that store I'll look them up.
