  • WTT: 110g tank, stand, canopy, 36" strip light

I'm sortof checking interest here because we just picked up an awesome RR tank that I will be needing stuff for. Hubby is sortof attached to this 110 because it was our first tank and he worked on the stand and canopy to get it looking nice and it's a really unique stand and canopy. So, what I want to do is find out if I can even get some of the things we need for the new reef tank out of this 110, so I can show him what we can get if he'll let me get rid of the 110. Hope that all makes sense.

You all feel free to tell me if I even have a prayer here, if I'd do better selling the 110 or whatever other ideas you have.

    Things I need:
skimmer for 135 gallon reef (with pump)
    return pump
lighting - MH/T5 combo or just MH - pendants, fixture, tell me what you've got. It's a 6' tank.
18-24" T5 or better light for the refugium (could actually use 2 of these)
    powerheads

I'm not expecting to get everything, but just checking to see what I can get, if anything. Thanks in advance for any offers or advice, etc.

The stand is 6' long. The tank is 5'x 28 or 30 tall and 18 deep.  The stand is short, and puts the tank about level with our couch, so it's perfect for sitting and viewing.  The light's not much, I know, but since it doesn't have plants in the tank, it's been enough for my purposes.  It's got 2 bulbs, I forget the wattage.

I might also part with most of the fish.  Hubby's Oscar is in there right now and so far hasn't eaten the others, but he's moving into a larger tank asap.  There are 2 GBRs, 4 diamond tetras, 1 big opaline gourami, and two Africans.

    Here are some pictures!

I know what I'm about to type isn't what you are hoping for, but I'd be interested in purchasing your two GBR's.  How long have you had them, and do you know how old they are?

if you'll come catch them, you can have them.  I've had them since November and they're juveniles.  They're not paired up.  One is quite a lot smaller than the other.  The problem will be catching them.  If I get to where I'm selling the tank and breaking everything down to put into my husband's larger tank with his Oscar, that will be when I'll be able to catch all the fish that need new homes.  The fish aren't for sale, but I'll give them to anyone who wants them and is going to give them a happy home.

But really, the tank, stand, and canopy need to have a destination first.

I REALLY want a good light setup for my new tank, so anyone offering me a trade with lighting will be considered!

fishymommy -- are you going saltwater this time ?  Ie I am asking because you are asking for a skimmer... and if so the Oscar will not like the saltwater..  Or are you asking for a wet/dry with an overflow ?

Im assuming saltwater. Mikes Tropical Fish and Pets had some nice protein skimmers for a great price, and he has return pumps aswell.

LOL  The Oscar won't like saltwater.  Ya think?

Yes, I'm already saltwater, but I just got another RR tank that I'm going to be setting up.  Hubby has a separate tank for the Oscar.   :P

I'll check with Mike, thanks.  Just wanted to see if I could get something in trade out of this 110 first.

Oh and I've already got everything (sump, overflow, etc.) for the RR tank except for what I listed that I'm looking for.  Thanks!

I can trade this skimmer.   http://www.bermudaaquatics.com/5C.htm
I will have to look to see to see if I have a pump for it.
I also have sumps for salt water too.

By all means, give priority to someone who actually has the things you are looking for in trade!  If they need a home after everything is taken care of I'll come try my hand at catching them  8O

crudnugget (hee) - I meant that I will keep the two Rams for you, but I don't want to try to catch them till I'm breaking everything down.  I'll keep you posted when that is.
