    Re: Looking for Advice on Buying a 240 Gallon Tank

    I'm not sure that I could be able to afford the AGE tanks, but man, they do look awesome.  I love the way Fish Gallery puts stuff together, but man, I really just go there to look at the tanks and stuff.  Like a small public aquarium for me cause they are so expensive.  Not that I blame them; I understand what they're doing over there and think it fills an important market area.

    I have looked at Glasscages as well, but I have heard some horror stories about customer service and the seals.  I am just not sure with that going on already that I am going to trust the tanks to last several years.  I tend to think you get what you pay for, but I have also heard really good things from some people who have had nothing but good things to say and saved a ton of money in the process.

    ND - who would Alex be?  Is that the guy who owns Ultimate?  I am not very knowledgeable about everybody who owns store in the city, though I am slowly learning people's names since my return to Houston this past year.

      Alex= Ultimate Fish.

      As for tanks....I have both AGA and Oceanic and the glass on the Oceanic is much nicer but the two are much nicer then a lot of other run of the mill tanks I have come across.

        Look at www.deepseaaquatics.net, they're the guys from Oceanic that did not move to Wisconsin when Oceanic was bought-out by AGA.  If you want a AGE tank order it from John over at Kingfish Aquariums....

            Ek - would you buy an AGA again being able to notice the difference now?

            The AGE tanks look pretty cool, especially the 185 with 30.5 dimensions.  Not sure it is long enough for me, but it is still a great size and tank.

            ChiroHorm - thanks for showing me that.  I am going to try and get over there and look at that tank when I have a chance.
