  • My Firemouth for your Pink Kissing Gourami?

My Firemouth is around 3-4" and he's picking on my 5" Oscar since we moved them into their new home on Saturday.  I would love to have a Kissing Gourami if you happen to have one and would like a Firemouth.  The Gourami just needs to be big enough the Oscar can't eat it at the size he is right now.

If you just want the Firemouth and maybe you have some other fish that would be a good Oscar companion, let me know.  If I don't find a trade in a day or two, I'll just give the Firemouth to whoever wants him.  He's got really pretty coloration and I love his blue eyes, but the tank is supposed to be the Oscar's house and he's getting bullied.

    Thanks!

LOL -- Get a second Oscar and the Firemouth might have some problems :P
I am sorry to hear that the firemouth is giving you all these problems.   If you wait another two to four months, then the firemouth is going to have problems bulling the oscar.  When fish are single animals they tend to end up causing problems for their neighbors.  If there are others of the same kind they will tend to fight among themselves.

yeah, I know, I just don't think I want anymore firemouths because there are other types of fish I DO want, like Pink Kissers, maybe a group of silver dollars or some other larger schooling type fish that won't get eaten.  I don't think we want another Oscar, not sure.  Two of those in a 6 foot tank will pretty much be all the fish we could have in there.  BOooorrrring.  But whatever, it's not MY tank, it's my husband's.

Maybe I should just get another firemouth or two.  they are pretty.
