  • leaking seal????

I have a guy called me and has a 300 gal tk and a seal is leaking,is this something that can be fixed reasonably or can I even do it myself? I am not going to have much in the whole system(doing some trading) and it would be the size I think I need at the store front. Is there someone who repairs these maybe at my location? I hate to ask so many questions BUt if you don`t ask........ Thanx, Jack

If the tank have a trim brace you can reseal it. i'm sure if someone locally can do it but several people on here have reseal tanks.

    Where is the tank leaking?

I have never re-sealed a large tank, but I have asked around.  Aqua-Zoo on Hwy 3 and El Dorado said that they would do it, but I would have to help, and it is really hard work.

Dont know if that helped you or not...

You would have to strip all the old silicone from the tank since new silicon will not adhere to old silicone.

I recently re-sealed my 20g's and it was a real PITA!

We've resealed 2 - 210g and it wasn't nearly as hard as we thought it would be.  It's time-consuming, but it can be done.
