  • Looking for Tank

    I have decided to try to get another tank since I haven't had one in years.  I am looking for the tank, stand, canopy if available and pumps filters etc.  If anyone has one to give away or sell, please let me know.  My space is 54 inches wide, so anything smaller than 54 inches wide will work.  Height is not an issue and depth max is 24.5 inches.  Thinking depth is not an issue either.

    Thanks
    Kinsey

        Welcome to the box Kinsey. Here, craigslist, and www.marshreef.com are some of the best places to get used aquariums and accessories. It looks like you'll be looking at a 4' tank probably 18" deep.  That puts it in the 70-90 gallon range. Would that be what you are looking for?

          Exactly what I am looking for. I have been on Craig's List for 2 days looking for one.  I found one that was perfect, however it sold before I found it.  I need a freshwater tank.

            If you want white gravel... I can give you some. I also have a few fake ornaments sitting around you can take.

            J-WS6 has some REALLY nice rock at a good price as well.

                That picture doesn't really do it's justice, but trust me, they are nice!

                  Re: Looking for Tank

                  Here are a couple of tanks that will fit in your space.

                  48x12 = 55g (17" tall)
                  48x18 = 75g (21" tall), 90g (25" tall), 110x-High (30" tall)
                  48x24 = 120g (25" tall), 150g (30" tall)

                  Many here will tell you the same.  If you have the space and capability to put in a large tank go that route.  Your fish will thank you :)

                    Re: Looking for Tank

                    I would love that actually.  Just looking for the right tank at the right price really.  I am really wanting a tank and stand for sure and if anyone has equipment to go with it for sale or just equipment for sale, maybe I can piece something together from several people.  Looks like a canopy is easy to build later on.

                      Re: Looking for Tank

                      Ok....really looking for anything bigger than a 55g.  The fish I am getting need a 50 at least, so thinking it will benefit me and the fish to go ahead and get something bigger now.  The fish I am getting are mature fish that someone has had for several years.  There is one large yellow black and white vel tailed angel fish, one large silver dollar fish, 2 medium black and white spotted raphel catfish, and one large feather fin catfish.  Thinking something bigger will be good.

                      If anyone has something they are wanting to unload, please let me know.
