Re: needing green water
Curiousity has got the better of me... why do you want green water might I ask? There must be some use for it that I am not aware of...Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Re: needing green water
The organic waste becomes nitrogen
the nitrogen becomes green water
the green water becomes little critters
the little critters become little fish
the little fish become big fish
the big fish become organic waste...... Â

Mother Nature is a *****
first you take the test
then you learn the lesson'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Re: needing green water
i have a pond(a kiddie pool) outside that i am using to soak drift wood in till it sinks(its taking a while lol but its getting there) and its full of green water, but like freak said all you need to get it put a big tub of water outside and either leave it be for a week or so in direct sunlight and maybe throw some feeder comets in there( one for every 5 to 10 gallons) and you should be set.Never fear I is here

Re: needing green water
I had trouble keeping daphnia in my hard tap water. I eventually ended up with moina in rainwater. They stay in plastic half drums in the yard and eat green water. I remember feeding the daphnia yeast.
