    Re: WTB 25' python

Crudnugget (I felt odd writing that)...you can pick up a faucet adapter from petco or petsmart. I had the same problem, the stupid thing wouldn't fit.
The newer models (which are grey and blue) should come with the adapter for free.
The older ones (lime green) didn't come equipped with it.

So, it might be worth the $7 adapter.

Thanks, I didn't know you could even get an adapter.  I'll check that out, thanks for the tip!

I would recommend going to Home Depot or Lowes and getting a brass fitting and/or adaptor.  If it came with a plastic one, it will break at the most inconvenient time possible.

I had problems with the plastic adapters getting stuck in the faucet so I bought a metal one and haven't had any problems with it. One word of advice about the metal ones- the threads are sharp, so be careful.

The only place I was able to find a metal one was Aquazoo, and it was cheaper than the plastic ones.

I found one at Home Depot about a year ago. Big store... little piece! It can be very difficult to find.

                        Re: WTB 25' python

I have three pythons from my aquarium business, one is a hundred footer that I put on a portable hose reel. I bought several different faucet adapters, male and female, at Moore plumbing supply. I ran into some real oddball faucet threads out there at customers' homes and businesses.

My last python came with the plastic adapter. I ordered the brass adapter from python products, as well as a replacement valve and some in-line valves--all for less than 20 bucks. One week shipping time.
